RideMatch Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, hosting a ride, or participating in any ride listed on RideMatch (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use RideMatch.
2. Nature of the Service
RideMatch is a platform that helps cyclists discover, create, and coordinate group rides. RideMatch does not organize, supervise, control, or provide any rides. All rides are user-generated and user-managed.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your participation in any ride complies with applicable laws and your own health or fitness conditions.
4. User Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for the content you post and the rides you create or join.
- You must act safely, respectfully, and lawfully during all interactions on or off the platform.
- You agree not to use RideMatch for any unlawful, violent, harassing, or misleading purpose.
- You must not upload malware, spam, or attempt to collect data from other users without consent.
5. Assumption of Risk
Cycling and group activities carry inherent risks, including accidents, injury, or death. By using RideMatch, you understand and voluntarily accept all risks associated with participation in any ride or related activity.
6. No Liability for User Conduct
RideMatch is not a party to any ride, arrangement, or communication between users. RideMatch and its owners, affiliates, and employees are not responsible or liable for:
- The actions, omissions, or negligence of any user or ride organizer;
- Any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in a ride;
- Misuse of the platform or violation of these Terms by other users.
You release RideMatch from all claims, demands, and damages of every kind—known or unknown—arising out of or connected with any dispute or incident between users.
7. Waiver and Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RideMatch, its owners, officers, and partners from any claim, loss, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorney’s fees) resulting from your use or misuse of the Service, your creation, hosting, or participation in any ride, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
8. No Guarantee of Safety or Accuracy
RideMatch does not verify the accuracy, safety, or legality of rides, routes, or participants. All information and recommendations are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Account Termination
RideMatch may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or endanger others. You may delete your account at any time.
10. Dispute Resolution
Disputes must first be raised directly with us at goridematch@gmail.com. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Georgia, USA. You waive the right to participate in a class action.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RideMatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, even if advised of such damages.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates take effect upon posting; your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
